You may have seen in the news that there has been a huge increase in childhood obesity with 1 in 25 children being severely obese by the age of 11. You will be aware that as a school, we are undertaking a review of our approaches to supporting our children in having a healthy lifestyle. A big part of this is getting our children up and moving as much as possible!
We have made a commitment to ensure that our children have the opportunity to be active for at least an hour a day. As well as PE and playtimes, our children in KS1 and KS2 also walk or run a daily mile, but the fun doesn’t stop there. Across school our teachers have been finding any opportunity to build in physical activity into learning. Here are some of our favourite online resources for getting our bodies working.
