Stephanie from Year 6, Woodfield Primary:

Looking for a book with lots of description for writing? Love mysteries around every corner? Like to find new words to add to your vocabulary knowledge? Then I would definitely suggest you read the stunning (and incredible) book: The Mystery of The Clockwork Sparrow by Katherine Woodfine. Wonder at the daring theft of the clockwork sparrow; gasp as our heroines Miss Lillian Rose and Miss Sophie Taylor bring the villains to justice and tremble as they face the most contemptible criminals yet.  In my own opinion this book is my favourite that I have read throughout my entire life (which is 11 years to be exact). I recommend this book an age range of 9-13 as I believe everyone would enjoy it. As well as its front cover the book seems to stand out with its exclusiveness and originality. I rated this book a ten as I could find no faults whatsoever. I would like to say a big thank you to Doncaster Book Awards for giving my school the opportunity to read the book and I would also like to say a thank you to Katherine Woodfine for creating this lovely book!
