Bag2School Collection

Our school council are focusing on ways to be more environmentally friendly. As part of this they decided to see if they could find ways to make some money for school. Our first project was to run a bag2school collection. All children were given a bag to take home and encourage their family to fill it with unwanted items such as clothes, shoes and cuddly toys.

The bags were collected today and we are pleased to say that we managed to collect 438kg! That is an awful lot of bags and it has earned £175.20 for school. School Council would like to say a big thank you to everyone who joined in and also a big well done to Reception who collected the most bags. They win a baking prize after half term.

The bags started to build up before it’s even 8.30am.

Mrs Watson enlisted some willing helpers to keep track of all the donations.

Keeping a tally to find out which class brought in the most bags.

A pile so big we can hide behind it!

By 9am we were all exhausted!
